Does anyone know if Asti Ricadonna White is Vegetarian?

March 26th, 2010

Posted by admin in australian wine labels | 3 Comments »

I know that many wine companies use fish scales in their process and most of the Italian Wines still do (As do some Australian wines such as ‘Yellow!’ and ‘Pink!’
I was wondering how I can find out whether or not they do use them. It doesn’t say on the label ‘ May contain traces of fish’ as it does on ‘Yellow!’ and ‘Pink!’ , but as it’s Italian it is highly probable.
If anyone has any information please please help me, I have been a Vegetarian for 8 years and am planning on turning Vegan very shortly, but as Ricadonna is my favorite wine I want to know whether I can have one last bottle before going Vegan.
Thank-you all in advance :-)
For your information I have not had a drink in over 8 months. My 21st birthday is coming up which is why I want to drink.
So get bent.

You need this site, now and in the future when you’re vegan.

to label or not to label ? this is the question ?

March 23rd, 2010

Posted by admin in australian wine labels | 4 Comments »

recently i have been buying some quality unlabeled red wine (clean skins) but i have received many a look when i present it at dinner parties – the cost is very low ( i am not tight) but the taste is on par with fancy labelled types ps I am talking about Australian wine but other comments could be of benefit

The simplest answer is to serve the wines in a decanter, if you are giving the dinner party.

If you are taking them to a dinner party as a present then everyone present knows they are cheapest of the cheap and thats why they look at you.

Passing off the wine as your own, or worse still, falsely labelling it with other winelabels is just plain immoral.
